MyWork Australia has a position available for a talented Website Designer / Graphic Artist.
MyWork Australia ( http://www.mywork.com.au/ ) is a website development business, run from a newly refurbished office in Cornubia, QLD (south of Brisbane). Due to the recent high demand for our services, we are actively seeking a
talented Graphic Artist / Website Designer to join our team.
This is the ideal position for a fledgling designer, fresh out of high-school, university or TAFE, who is looking to get a start in the industry at an exciting and quickly expanding company.
How do you know if you are right for this role?
Take a look at the websites below. If you look at these websites and think to yourself... "Man... I could design websites just as good if not better..." then we want to hear from you. When we say design, we don't just mean the
graphical side of things, nor do we just mean the coding. We mean the complete process from designing the site itself (e.g. Adobe Photoshop skills), "cutting it up" and coding it with HTML/CSS (no cheating in Dreamweaver or similar programs allowed). By no means do your coding skills need to be advanced, however you do need to understand and follow today's industry standard coding methods for both HTML and CSS.

ROLE
- Design and code websites and logos for a variety of exciting small to medium sized businesses
- Design promotional material for internal use
- Participate in project discussion with the team to determine the best design methods
- Liaise with clients to ensure their website / graphical design requirements are met
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced graphical design skills
- HTML and CSS coding skills
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite CS3 knowledge/skills including Photoshop and Illustrator
- A keen eye for design and detail
- Strong creative flair
- Passion for design
- Ability to work in team environment
- Ability to meet defined deadlines
BENEFICIAL
- Flash skills
- Video Editing skills
- Understanding of other coding languages such as PHP
- Large project experience
Salaries will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
